Get ready to meet the resident comedianĀ of the sanctuaryāEvil, the Russian tortoise! If youāve ever wondered what happens when you mix a tortoise with a mischievous sense of humor, Evil is your answer. From running after people with his mouth open to making honking noises that could rival a goose, Evil is the troublemaker we all secretly love.

Evil's antics are legendary. Heās always on the moveāchasing everyone around with his mouth wide open, especiallyĀ Susan, whose pants have become his favorite target for a good ol' nibble. š¢š If thereās one thing Evil is known for, itās harassing the other residents and ensuring no one gets through their day without a little chaos. Whether itās tortoises, turtles, or humansānobodyĀ is safe from Evilās constant mischief.
And let's talk about his honking noisesāwhen Evil gets in the mood (especially during those, uh, romantic moments), his honking is so loud youād think a car horn was going off. It's just one of his many unforgettable quirks that make him stand out as the one and only Evil the Russian Tortoise.
But behind the shenanigans, Evil represents the fascinating resilience of his species. Russian Tortoises (Testudo horsfieldii)Ā may be small, but theyāre hardy survivors, perfectly adapted to harsh, arid environments. In the wild, they endure blazing heat and long periods without food or waterāsometimes even brumating (hibernating) for up to nine months a year!
